An important theme that again and again turns up in the dictations which Bertha Dudde wrote down is the demand to really seek truth. Also many people who have advanced spiritually quite well often rather seek more intellectual knowledge and not really truth. Also the readiness to call previous opinions into question belongs to the real search for truth.
The desire to hear actual truth should be striven for and a direct will should be there to achieve it.
It is therefore also about consciously establishing the desire for truth in oneself – to reach intellectual honesty as far as to want to achieve this capacity to consciously strive for truth and to aim for it. We have been given this ability and when we now want to be honest against ourselves then we should use this ability and pursue this highest aim of achieving truth.
Moreover we once stood in this truth and we consciously gave up this highest status and we therefore should now also be interested to put right again this wrong conduct and return to what we once were.
In the following I have put together some prayers, which are all based on scripture, and which will cause one to become more aware of this striving for truth when one first of all only reads them.
The more one reads them, and one then understands them intellectually and absorbs them, and adds the conscious will to let God help to reach the goal of truth, the more one will open oneself towards this aim and then also achieve it.
It is therefore recommended to read and pray these following prayers regularly if possible:
The God of my Lord Jesus Christ,
the glorious Father,
may give me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation,
so that I may know him better.
The eyes of my heart may be enlightened
in order that I may know the hope
to which he has called me,
the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,
and his incomparable great power for us who believe.
That power is like the working of his mighty strength.
Ephesians 1:17-19
I kneel before the Father,
from whom the whole family in heaven
and on earth derives its name.
I pray that out of his glorious riches
he may strengthen me with power
through his Spirit in my inner being,
so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith.
And I pray that I,
being rooted and established in love,
may have power,
together with all the saints,
to grasp how wide and long and high and deep
is the love of Christ,
and to know this love that surpasses knowledge –
that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
Ephesians 3:14-19
And this is my prayer:
that my love may abound more and more
in knowledge and depth of insight,
so that I may be able to discern
what is best
and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ,
filled with the fruit of righteousness,
that comes through Jesus Christ –
to the glory and praise of God.
Philippians 1:9-11
I have not stopped praying for me
and asking God to fill me
with the knowledge of his will
through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.
And I pray this in order
that I may live a life worthy of the Lord
and may please him in every way:
bearing fruit in every good work,
growing in the knowledge of God,
being strengthened with all power
according to his glorious might
so that I may have great endurance and patience,
and joyfully giving thanks to the Father,
who has qualified me
to share in the inheritance of the saints
in the kingdom of light.
Colossians 1:9-12
And I pray for me,
that God may open a door for my message,
so that I may proclaim the mystery of Christ.
I pray
that I may proclaim it clearly,
as I should.
Colossians 4:3-4
I am always wrestling in prayer for me,
that I may stand firm in all the will of God,
mature and fully assured.
Colossians 4:12
May God himself,
the God of peace,
sanctify me through and through.
May my whole spirit, soul and body
be kept blameless
at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The one who calls me
is faithful
and he will do it.
1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
I constantly pray for me,
that my God may count me worthy of his calling,
and that by his power
he may fulfil every good purpose of mine
and every act prompted by my faith.
I pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ
may be glorified in me,
and I in him,
according to the grace of my God
and the Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Thessalonians 1:11-12
Now may the Lord of peace
himself give me peace
at all times
and in every way.
The Lord be with me.
2 Thessalonians 3:16
I pray that I may be active in sharing my faith,
so that I will have a full understanding
of every good thing we have in Christ.
Philemon 6
And these signs will accompany me
who believes:
In Jesus’ name I will
drive out demons;
I will speak in new tongues;
I will pick up snakes with my hands;
and when I drink deadly poison,
it will not hurt me all;
I will place my hands on sick people,
and they will get well.
And I go out
and preach everywhere,
and the Lord works with me
and confirms his word
by the signs that accompanies it.
Mark 16:17-20
To the only God our Saviour
be glory, majesty, power and authority,
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
before all ages,
now and for evermore!
